Registration
Deadline for registration : 30 April 2007
Registration proceeds as follows:
First Step: Conference registration
First register as a new user on the
ConfTool Management System.
An account will be created for you (login/password).
Then log in again with your account login+password:
as a user you will then be able to
register as a participant (register as a
regular participant) and
submit an abstract for a poster presentation if you wish.
The poster abstracts will be examined by the SOC and you will be told by the end of april 2007
whether or not your poster has been retained, depending on the number of poster submissions and the available
space at the conference.
Time will be reserved every day for poster presentations (see "Scientific Program").
You will have to pay for the
conference fees (see "Practical Information"). The total number of participants
will be limited to 150, possibly 200 persons. Priority will be given to applicants who have paid the fees.
Payment as early as possible is thus highly suggested.
Second Step: Hotel reservation

make your
hotel reservation and to
register for the social events (see "Practical Information"). This part will be paid directly
through a secured procedure to the "Centre des
Congrès" that will take care of your accomodation during the conference.
Financial Support
Applications have been made to various sponsors to get financial support for the organization of the conference.
Unfortunately, answers from these sponsors are not expected before a month or two before the conference. It is thus
not possible at the present stage to figure out whether or not we will be able to provide any financial support.
People requesting such a support must send an e-mail to
Chamonix2007@ens-lyon.fr with a copy to
chabrier@ens-lyon.fr (
please indicate Chamonix2007 as the "subject" of the mail). Once answers from the different sponsor applications will have been received, you will be personally informed whether your request can be fullfilled or not. Priority will be given to PhD students.
Given the limited number of participants at the conference (see above), we suggest that you pay the
registration fees as early as possible. In case we can provide you eventually with some support, this will go directly to your
hotel bill or to the reimbursment of the fees.
